Profile:
I worked in a school as a gym teacher for children and youngsters for many years until I injured my knee skiing. This had an impact on the rest of my career and I changed direction to became a full time swim teacher at several schools in the Rotterdam and Leiden area.
I am the father of 3 grownups, a handyman and I am slowly approaching retirement with no plans as yet!
Coaching Style:
I am confident that everyone can learn to swim although it may take a little while. With this in mind, my lessons and explanations are adjusted according to the need of the swimmers. I enjoy accompanying my students through that process. I believe swimming is an exercise for all types of people. The amount of flexibility as well as agility one acquires through swimming increases the body’s stamina and mental acuity.

I am that coach who can deal with any level of swimmers in any pool. Within 45 minutes, I offer them exactly what they need. My very strong didactical skills and foundation in swimming make a perfect starting point for beginner learners. I bring 25 years of experience with me, therefore I am involved with coaching younger coaches as well… That is why they call me the Padre de Familia of the School.
