Profile:

Since I was a baby, I have always loved being in the water. Swimming has always been a grounding part of my life. I feel calm, confident and playful when I am in the water – pool, lake, river or ocean  – I love them all! I grew up competitive swimming and transitioned to Surf Lifesaving and ocean swimming as a teenager. Swimming is a great tool for fitness and mindfulness – I also love the confience it brings for other water sports.

I am a freelance Project Manager and shortly will return to university to study Urban Planning as part of a career change.

Coaching Style:

I am structured and clear in communication while incorporating small drills and activities to build up towards key swimming skills. This ensures students can focus on making small gains with their technique – as this happens their confidence grows just as much as their technique which is just as important in the water.

Swimming Certifications, Achievements, and Recognitions:

Bronze Medallion – Surf Life Saver (Australia)

Specialties:

I enjoy the progress of students from Water & Stroke Introduction to Intermediate level. This includes floating, first kicking to correct technique of basic strokes, diving & swimming under water.

“ The biggest hurdle is getting yourself to the pool. The rest will follow!
