Profile:
From as far back as I can remember, I’ve been deeply passionate about water and swimming. I began my professional swimming career at the age of 6. After a short break, I continued my professional journey at the age of 9. While swimming for professional sports clubs in Istanbul, I had the honor of representing the Turkish National Swimming Team in various international competitions starting from the age of 12.
Today, I’ve taken my passion for swimming to a new level by coaching while being a PhD candidate at TU Delft. As continuing swimming as a hobby, I am thrilled to share the knowledge and experiences I gained during my professional swimming career with those who wish to improve their swimming skills through YPSC.
Coaching Style:
Each of our swimmers has a unique personal and professional life, as well as diverse expectations from swimming. While some aim to improve their techniques, others participate in our lessons to enhance their physical fitness. That’ why I prepare my training plans by considering the individual goals of my swimmers and carefully evaluating which areas need improvement after each session.
But most importantly, what matters most to me is making sure every swimmer truly enjoys being in the water and has fun while training!
Swimming Certifications, Achievements, & Recognitions:
Competitive swimmer between 2006 and 2014, including international competitions as a part of the Turkish National Swimming Team
Specialties:
I want all my swimmers to feel confident diving into the water and mastering all four main strokes. To achieve this, I draw from my own experiences as a swimmer—recalling the techniques and practices I used to improve myself—and incorporate these insights into their training plans.
“When you feel tired and overwhelmed, let the water keep you up and carry you forward”
