Profile:
Swimming has been a part of my life since childhood, from joining a speed-swimming group, later a competive team to now, where my love for water has naturally evolved into teaching.
I believe swimming is incredibly beneficial and accessible to everyone—you just need to find the right guide. My mission is to be that guide: to explain, to be an attentive assistant, to ease any fears about the water, and to introduce you to the incredible world of swimming. For those already comfortable in the water, I love setting new, interesting challenges.
Outside of swimming, I have a passion for reading, writing, and traveling, and I am also a proud mother of three beautiful daughters.
I’m also discovering the fascinating world of the Dutch language, learning it through courses and immersing myself in Dutch culture to ease my integration.
Coaching Style:
My approach is to analyze calmly what the person came to the pool with, what the initial conditions and objectives are and develop a strategy accordingly. I also focuse on supporting and inspiring myn students by noting what is going well and gently guiding what needs to be worked on. I also always keep in mind the student’s overall goal and of course place high importance in making sure the swimmer feels the joy of swimming. This is my secret to keeping my students engaged.
Swimming Certifications, Achievements, & Recognitions:
-
Diploma Instructeur Leszwemmen 2
-
Various wins in swimming competitions
Specialties:
I have had the most success with students who are motivated, those who are already swimming and those who need to be corrected in technique.
My favourite strokes are backstroke and front crawl.
