Profile:
I grew up in The Hague, surrounded by a love for water and outdoor sports. My passion for swimming started early with swimming in the sea and grew stronger when I joined the lifeguard brigade.
Teaching swimming combines my love for water with my desire to help others. I believe learning to swim should be fun, safe, and empowering, opening doors to confidence and lifelong health benefits.
I am a VWO student and will study Nursing in 2025. I am an active volunteer with the lifeguard brigade. Besides that, I enjoy outdoor activities and reading or drawing.
Coaching Style:
My approach is student-centered, emphasizing patience and adaptability. I strive to make lessons engaging by tailoring them to each individual’s needs, fostering both confidence and skill development in the water. I believe that practice leads to growth so I try to offer diverse practices to master the different aspects of each stroke.
Swimming Certifications, Achievements, & Recognitions:

As a Lifeguard we practice weekly, in summer on the beach and in winter in the pool, I maintained serval lifeguard certifications, most recent:

Specialties:
I specialize in underwater swimming and breast crawl. These are the things I myself enjoy most when swimming. But I also try to include everything else in my lessons. When it comes to students I try to approach everyone on a personal level and to teach with patience and positivity.
“Just keep Swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.”
