Profile:
I have been a competitive swimmer since I was six years old, so I have dedicated the majority of my childhood to spending time in the water and being as fast as I could be. Swimming has given me strength to overcome many challenges and has permitted me to learn discipline. To me, swimming can offer you a quiet and peaceful place, once you know how to move in water and how to cooperate with it.
Besides being a swim coach, I am also a first year psychology student at the Tilburg university where my main interest is neuropsychology and understanding how the brain anatomy can explain all the different ways in which we behave on a daily basis.
Coaching Style:
I think that the most important part about learning how to swim is to believe that you can keep yourself afloat and relax. So when I teach new swimmers I want to first help them relax in the water which will help them to understand the different movements and make them easier to execute as well.
I would say that my role as a coach is to make my students confident and to show them all the different techniques of strokes they can use to make their movement in water easier.
Swimming Certifications, Achievements, & Recognitions:
- Multiple titles from Slovak National Championships in Swimming
- Medals from international competitions in Swimming
For 3 years I have been a member of a group for young talented swimmers in Slovakia
Specialties:
My speciality in coaching is mostly those who are beginning to learn how to swim. I love leading them through the processes and seeing them improve every week. My favorite style to teach is butterfly, which requires a lot of skill, but when it comes to my students, I love teaching them breaststroke because they usually find it very entertaining.
