Profile:

As with most kids in the Netherlands I got my first real swimming lessons at school (around age 8). Since I liked being in the water, I also joined the Rotterdamse Reddings Brigade (lifeguard) where I started assisting with the swimming lessons at age 12. I completed all available diplomas, including Instructor level 3 and have been an instructor and coach since then (volunteer).

Besides working as a volunteer, I have a fulltime job in the IT-sector.

Coaching Style:

Make complex things easy for the candidate, by explaining/showing step-by-step what to do. I believe that giving positive feedback with a lot of enthusiasm will reflect upon the result. Even with an approach focused on the individual, I try to create and enhance the group feeling. It will not only help in the learning process, but also motivate a candidate to continue showing up.

Certifications:

Fully certified Instructor level 3 and ENVOZ since “ages”, including (of course) first aid and CPR.

Specialities:

I am proficient in teaching all strokes, except Butterfly (we don’t use Butterfly as a lifeguard).

Our adult swim classes

Your Personal Swim Coach will help you become a more confident you, a stronger, fitter and healthier you, a happier, care-free you and ensure your success in learning to enjoy and feel safe in and around water!

Beginners

If you cannot swim at all and are fearful and/or challenged in water generally.

If you have taken   classes before and   failed, join our beginners groups and we teach you how to float first.

Stroke improvers

If you can float and swim but are afraid of deep water.

You can swim but are complete exhausted after swimming 1 lane.

You can join the intermediate or A group and enjoy our support with the first moves in the deep water.

Advanced

If you have no issues in the deep water and able to swim two laps without getting  exhausted.

you can join the diploma groups or sportclass, come weekly or book individual lessons. Objective is working on stamina and improving techniques.
