Profile:
My parents introduced me to the water at a very young age, and since then, I feel like I’ve become part fish. There’s an incredible sense of freedom and joy that I experience in the water. After years of swimming classes, training sessions, and beach holidays, I’ve built a treasure trove of wonderful memories by the water. I want to share my love for swimming and the sense of safety it brings, so others can create beautiful memories too.
Swimming has also played a crucial role in my health, particularly because I have scoliosis. This was the main reason my parents encouraged me to continue swimming over the years, and I am eternally grateful for their support. Swimming has alleviated my back pain and helped me manage my condition. It’s a fantastic form of exercise that offers numerous health benefits while also being enjoyable.
I believe swimming can be relaxing, fun, and incredibly rewarding, and I would love to be a part of someone’s journey in discovering this amazing activity.
Coaching Style:
I believe in starting small and building up. Swimming also involves the entire body, so I believe in slowly working your way up, approaching one challenge at a time. To keep classes engaging, I incorporate a variety of exercises and games, making the learning experience dynamic and enjoyable for everyone.
Swimming Certifications, Achievements, & Recognitions:
- Swimming Instructor Certificate (September 2024)
- Red Cross CPR (2024)
Specialties:
I can help students grow their swimming skills from whichever level they may find themselves in.
I do personally love working on the upper body movements of a stroke; after many years of swimming competitively I have learnt different types of drills that I can incorporate in a class to make it both dynamic and specific to what the student might need.
However, I think the part that I most enjoy is working on the emotional aspect of swimming. I think it is crucial to focus on the emotional wellbeing as much as the technical aspect of swimming.
