Profile:
My parents introduced me to the water at a very young age, and since that moment I think I might have become part fish. I truly feel free and ecstatic in the water, and after years of swimming classes, training sessions, and beach holidays I now have an abundance of wonderful memories near the water. I want to share my joy for swimming and sense of safety in the water to others; so that they too can make beautiful memories.
Swimming has also been crucial to my health, I have scoliosis. This was the main reason my parents wanted me to continue swimming throughout the years and I am eternally grateful for this. Swimming has helped with alleviating my back pain and in the control of my scoliosis. It is a great form of activity which provides multiple health benefits as well as fun.
This form of exercise can become relaxing, fun and incredibly rewarding and I would love to be part of someone’s journey in discovering this.
Coaching Style:
I believe in starting small and building up. Swimming has various components, such as floating, breathing and learning a part of a stroke. Swimming also involves the entire body, so I believe in slowly working your way up, approaching one challenge at a time. I am also a strong believer in making the classes dynamic and fun, due to its repetitive nature I like to mix different exercises and games to keep everyone engaged.
Swimming Certifications, Achievements, and Recognitions:
- Swimming Instructor Certificate (September 2024)
- Red Cross CPR (2024)
Specialties:
I can help students grow their swimming skills from whichever level they may find themselves in.
I do personally love working on the upper body movements of a stroke; after many years of swimming competitively I have learnt different types of drills that I can incorporate in a class to make it both dynamic and specific to what the student might need.
However, I think the part that I most enjoy is working on the emotional aspect of swimming. I think it is crucial to focus on the emotional wellbeing as much as the technical aspect of swimming.
