Profile:

Ever since I was a child, I have loved running and looking for physical challenges. This led me to study sports sciences at university in Egypt.  I specialized in swimming and took great pleasure in teaching kids as well as adults. I worked in the tourist industry for a while and it amazed me to see adults and children at a swimming pool without actually going in it!  I hold a PhD and Master’s degree in Physical Education and in 2000, I completed special training from the Olympic Academy for sports leaders. I also hold a life guard certificate.

I moved to The Netherlands for love, and I am currently working on advancing my Dutch language skills and obtaining naturalization here.

Coaching Style:

In my experience, I have seen that the learning curve is a lot faster if you add some fun! During my lessons, I address all aspects of developing effective, sustainable swimming techniques. I am patient and have a process-driven approach to teaching strokes.

Specialties:

I excel in certain areas of coaching, in particular teaching backcrawl and breaststroke. I am also able to help children and adults who are aquaphobic (afraid of water). So, come and join me and let’s set your swimming goals together! I will help you to feel safe, confident, comfortable and also, you will have some fun.

‘’Let us learn together how to feel more comfortable in the water. Just try without any hesitation and you will surprise others, but most of all yourself!’’
