Going underwater and move forward

During this phase, swimmers practice other important skills such as going underwater and moving forward. While the body is in a horizontal position, the swimmer moves forward by kicking legs or breaststroke while also using extended arms. The final test is swimming under a floating mat.

At last swimmers learn how to water treat , a very important skill. The body is in vertical position, the head is above water and the swimmer is looking forward. This is still all in a shallow pool.
