Meet Swim Coach Rebeka
Nationality: Slovak
Living in The Netherlands since: August 2025
Languages: Slovak, Czech, English
Training Experience: 4 years
Pool location: Amsterdam
Profile:
I have been passionate about swimming since the age of 5, starting with synchronized swimming and later competing with the Slovak national team. After my competitive career, I transitioned into coaching, where I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and helping students develop both skill and confidence in the water. Alongside coaching, I am pursuing a degree in Computer Science at VU Amsterdam.
Coaching style:
My coaching style is built on clarity and communication. I explain each drill from both a technical and practical perspective, making sure swimmers understand not only how to perform it, but also why it matters and what outcome to look for. This helps them track their progress and stay motivated. I begin with simple, confidence-building steps to ensure comfort in the water, then gradually introduce more challenging exercises. This steady progression nurtures enthusiasm while leading to consistent, measurable improvements in skill.
Certifications and achievements:
Swimming coach level one (2023) First aid (2024)
Specialties:
I enjoy working with students who are motivated to learn, no matter their current skill level. Whether they are beginners building confidence in the water or advanced swimmers refining technique, I value the dedication they bring to practice. My role as a coach is to guide that motivation, provide clear feedback, and help each swimmer progress at their own pace while keeping the learning process engaging and rewarding.
With dedication and guidance, every swimmer can grow.
