Profile:
Swimming entered my life still when I was in my mother’s belly, she used to swim a lot during her pregnancy, therefore when I was born I was instantly introduced to water! Since then my passion for swimming has built up year by year. I am currently studying at Leiden University, and swimming is my therapy for the weak, where I can bring all my thoughts together, helping my body and mind connect through water!
Coaching style:
Every individual has its unique approach when introduced to water, therefore by understanding its
approach and aligning my understanding with their goals, their goals become mine and by that we
work hand in hand towards our purpose, always enjoying the process and approaching them by being
side by side in the water.
I personally like to work on techniques in a more educational manner with
materials that will allow making it fun but also fruitful. I tend to introduce two sides of my swimming
experience, bringing open water together with swimming pool and helping them to develop their
skills.
Lastly I really enjoy working on some breathing exercises because I find it fundamental to the
development of their swimming skills and helpful outside of the swimming environment likewise.
Certifications and achievements:
I did several open water swim competitions in Brasil:
Mahalo swim - 6km (3rd on my age group from 0-29)
Rei e Rainha do Mar- 5km (2nd on my age group 18-25)
Rei e Rainha do Mar - 2km (2nd on my age group 18-25)
Fuga da ilha - 13km (relay team)
Specialties:
My speciality is definitely open water swimming, therefore helping students to breath looking to the front and not sides, as well as adjusting the crawl to a scenery of open water!
"Have courage, and by that I mean act with your heart, act with love!!!!"
