Nationality: German
Living in The Netherlands since: August 2020
Languages: German, English and some Dutch
Training Experience: three years at DLRG (German association for lifeguarding), one year experience as a baby swimming teacher.
Pool location: Amsterdam
Profile:
I grew up in Germany, spending every summer at my grandparents’ caravan by a big lake. Even before I could swim, I was always the first one to jump into the water - my grandma could hardly keep me out of it. I learned to swim at four and later joined the DLRG lifeguarding association, where I trained for several years.
Now, as a baby and toddler swim teacher, I love passing on my lifelong joy and confidence in the water. I believe swimming is best learned through play, curiosity, and celebrating progress over perfection. Outside the pool, I’m a master’s student in Behavioural Genetics.
Coaching style:
My coaching style is warm, patient, and focused on positive reinforcement. I aim to make every swimmer feel safe, seen, and proud of their progress - no matter how small. I believe listening to each student’s needs is key to helping them grow.
Certifications and achievements:
DLRG (German Lifeguard Association) member with bronze, silver and gold batch
Baby & Toddler Swimming Instructor (since 2024)
Specialties:
Building water confidence and comfort
"Focus on progress, not perfection."
