Profile:
Since I was a baby, my parents took me to the pool every week for swim classes, and from that moment on, I’ve never really left the water. For as long as I can remember, swimming has been a passion of mine. When I was part of the Reddingsbrigade (rescue brigade), they offered me a position as a swim coach for young children, and I eagerly accepted. After some time, I felt ready for a new challenge, which is when YPSC crossed my path.
Coaching style:
What I always try to remember is that every swimmer is different. So what works for me personally might not work for everyone. So I like the challenge of figuring out how to help someone the best, by sharing my own experiences and listening to other coaches.
For me it’s most important that you feel comfortable and safe in the water. So I like to share my enthusiasm in the pool and try to set examples if necessary. I will always encourage a swimmer to engage a challenge and help you as a swimmer every step of the way.
Specialties:
What I most love about being a swim coach is sharing my enthusiasm about the pool. It doesn’t matter if it is your first time in the swimming pool or if I’m helping you to optimize a stroke. It is your journey and I want to help you with whatever you need. What’s most important to me is that you feel confident and get better every week!
