About Eva

“It always seems impossible until it’s done”

I learned how to swim from a young age. When I was 11 I performed in a school gala and after that, I decided to join a competitive swimming club and competed until I was 16. I became a teacher for my club when I was 15 and completed my teaching qualification when I was 16. I have been teaching ever since.

Besides swimming, I am a student doing Biomedical Science and am currently doing an exchange at Leiden University.

Coaching Style

My typical approach is to slowly increase the difficulty of a task so that a pupil can get confident at one task and complete it correctly before pushing them to try something more difficult. I ensure people remain engaged by using games or changing up the equipment I use.

Certifications

I completed my Level 2 when I as 17 and my Level 1 when I was 16. I have competed at the national level in breaststroke.

Specialities

I feel like I have been successful with most of the students I have ever taught whether it is making them more confident/enjoy swimming or taking their swimming from a basic to an advanced level.

“Rise and Shine! Everybody should be able to enjoy the water!”.”
